The Local Foundation supported the Hack Defense 2026 competition.

On April 9th, Katowice once again became a meeting place for young talents, IT industry experts, and representatives of the telecommunications sector. The Hack Defense 2026 competition finals brought together participants interested in cybersecurity, creating a space for knowledge and experience exchange, as well as practical skills verification.

During the event, a key part of the program was the final stage of the competition, where participants tackled realistic digital threat scenarios. The tasks included identifying system vulnerabilities and responding to security incidents, which was an important element in developing cybersecurity skills.

This year's edition enjoyed great interest. 574 students from 74 schools in the Silesian Voivodeship participated, which confirms the growing awareness and importance of digital safety education among young people. Local operator Grzegorz Czempik from Piekary.net was also present.

The Local Foundation actively supported the initiative, contributing to the funding of prizes for participants, including Chromebook laptops and Kindle e-readers. This action aligns with the Foundation's broader mission, focused on developing digital competencies and supporting educational initiatives of social importance.

The involvement of the Lokalni Foundation and the MiŚOT Group in events such as Hack Defense 2026 is a manifestation of a consistently implemented strategy to support safe and conscious use of technology. It also confirms the role of local operators in building a stable and secure digital ecosystem in Poland.
