eMU combines the services of the MiŚOT Group in one system

eMU, or eBOK of MiŚOT Services, is gradually becoming the central place for managing the services of the MiŚOT Group. Operators will gain not only a preview of the services used, but also the ability to order, change and terminate them. An important part of the changes will be new user roles and permissions.

The direction of the development of eMU is clear: instead of several independent systems, the operator will receive one environment in which he will check his services, settlements and parameters, read important messages and, above all, make changes on his own at a convenient moment.

So far, eMU has been used primarily by operators using KameleonTV. Companies with a signed contract to operate this service have access to the system, and the tool itself allows, among other things, to manage subscribers.

However, as Paweł Białas, Director of Development and Sales of the MiŚOT Group, comments, the scope of eMU's capabilities will be much wider. Ultimately, the system is to integrate further products and services, limiting the need to use several separate tools and contact the service in matters that the operator will be able to deal with independently.

KameleonTV, or more information

The first changes concern KameleonTV. At the request of the operators, information on errors occurring during the use of the service was expanded. Thanks to this, partners can check what a specific message means faster, without having to ask each time.

The operator has also been given access to information regarding its trading conditions. They can check what packages they use, what prices apply to them and until when they remain valid.

The API is also being developed, which significantly improves the visualization of the program offer on the operators' websites. Currently, version 2.0 is already in operation, and the MiŚOT Group is working on a widget to facilitate the presentation of packages, channels and functionalities on operators' websites. The widget is designed to automatically adapt to, among other things, the light or dark appearance of the page.

– eMU is designed in such a way that it is primarily intuitive and quick to use. It is known that people using the system have many other tasks on a daily basis, so working in eMU should take as little time as possible. A good example is the KameleonTV service – it takes only a dozen or so seconds to click it – says Paweł Białas.

The operator can also independently check which subscribers have active specific services, in what number and since when they use them.

MiŚOT store moves to eMU

Much larger changes concern the MiŚOT Store. Ultimately, its functionalities are to be transferred to eMU, and the current store solution is to be withdrawn.

The process is already underway. Already in August, contractors will get access to a preview of purchased services along with a full history of billing events. This is another step towards greater transparency and easier management of services.

In the first stage, the focus was on providing a clear overview of the ordered services and billing events. A person with appropriate permissions can check at any time what services are active, at what price and from when.

The next step will be the ability to order, modify and terminate services directly in eMU. Ultimately, the entire process will be enclosed in one system.

Not every employee will be able to order

Along with the expansion of the eMU, a system of roles and permissions is introduced. This is especially important for larger operators, where many people use the company's account. Not every user will be able to order products or modify services – such rights will be granted to selected persons by the account owner. So it is worth checking whether the owner has already been assigned the role of an EPID-Owner.

– EPID allows you to set different roles and permissions in the eMU, thanks to which the account owner can decide who has access to individual functions and who can perform specific operations – explains Paweł Białas.

This means that some employees will only be able to view information, while the possibility of placing orders or making changes will be limited to the indicated persons.

MiŚOT should always be cheaper

In practice, this means the possibility of using different price levels, better suited to the specifics and needs of individual contractors. This allows you to combine more price flexibility with a more individual approach to cooperation.

– We want to follow the principle that MiŚOT is always cheaper – emphasizes Paweł Białas.

This will allow you to differentiate the prices of individual products depending on the status of the customer. eMU will automatically present the right conditions assigned to a specific operator.

Invoices will be issued earlier

The transfer of services to eMU also involves billing changes. MiŚOT Group wants to switch to earlier invoicing of some services. So far, in many cases, the operator first used the product for a whole month, and the invoice appeared only in the next one. At the same time, the MiŚOT Group previously settled receivables from suppliers.

With the increasing scale of services such as medical packages or sports cards, as well as the introduction of more services, the Group had to finance more and more amounts in advance. eMU organizes this process and allows you to switch to a model of invoicing services in advance, which facilitates the management of the entire financial area.

KoalaTel will also go to eMU

The integration of KoalaTel with two suppliers has already been completed, and the whole will be operated directly from the eMU level. In one place, the operator will be able to search for the subscriber, manage his number and carry out the process of his transfer, without the need to use additional tools.

At the same time, the architecture of the solution remains open – if there is a need to add more, it will be possible to add them without rebuilding the entire system.

Currently, activities are being carried out on the visual side and the user experience, i.e. how the solution will look and work from the perspective of the operator.

EPIX: billing first, then full self-service

EPIX is another area developed in eMU. Integration is carried out in stages. The first step is to transfer the billing, thanks to which the billing of services and the generation of settlements will take place systemically, directly in the eMU.

Operators will then get a full view of their EPIX services. In one place, they will check what services they have, where they are located, as well as see information about ports, ropes and other services.

eMU will also facilitate the handling of failures. In the event of an incident involving a service or equipment, the system will allow you to quickly verify whether a given situation applies to a specific operator.

Ultimately, EPIX will switch to a full self-service model. The Operator will independently order, modify or terminate the EPIX service without the need to send an e-mail. The scope of available operations will remain dependent on the user's role and permissions.

One place also for news

eMU is also becoming a place of communication with operators. Information on changes in services, new versions of software, applications and subsequent functionalities is published here.

Thanks to this, technical and product information goes directly to people using specific solutions. Some messages are addressed only to logged in users.

For the MiŚOT Group, this means automating subsequent processes and limiting the number of activities requiring service on its part. For operators – fewer emails, fewer additional tools and more and more possibilities to do things on their own, in one system.
